Another quick update to the status of some of my outstanding rebates:
1) A response to my follow-up email indicated I would receive a check instead of a credit. The check showed up Monday, 4/10.

It's not really new news, but it is comprehensive info on the problems with TigerDirect rebates. Thanks to reader Lippy for the link.
It's that time again.... I finally made it to not one eye doctor, but two! I have a prescription for glasses, and almost one for contacts. (I have a few samples to try out first.) I started looking into buying contacts online, and found a handy price comparison tool just for contacts, called ContactLensesPrice.com, which I'm giving a try.
