Yet Another Credit Card
I've sung the praises of my Chase LPG card, mentioned my MBNA WorldPoints card, and I've carried others, but soon I'll be carrying another - the Citi Dividend Platinum Select. My wife's card, Citi was the first she ever had. Though she hardly used it, they first switched from a vanilla card to a vanilla Platinum Select. Recently they further upgraded her to the Dividend card, which has a nice perk. In addition to the relatively standard 1% cash back on purchases, it provides 5% back on purchases at drug stores, supermarkets, and gas stations. The drawback is the need to earn $100 to get a check, but to make it easier, they started her off with a $20 credit. Additionally, they gave her $20 toward purchases made by October 15. I figure we'll use it until we hit $100 in cash back ($1600 in 5% qualifying purchases).
