UPS Isn't That Cool
I previously posted with enthusiasm the ability to enter an alternate delivery address on UPS's website. Despite entering a new address late Monday night, they attempted delivery at the old address again on Tuesday. While I can understand that they might not be able to reroute the package, one would think that their little computerized tracking gizmos would have an alert for the driver when he tries to deliver the package. But clearly, they don't.
As of 2:30 this afternoon, the website had no new delivery information, so I called to see if a human did. The CSR I spoke with confirmed the above information, then said she'd send an alert to the delivery center to confirm they'd be delivering to the new address today, and they should be calling me back to confirm within the hour.
I'm not holding my breath. Especially considering I'm in absolutely no rush to get this package that I know almost nothing about.
