Fencers, Come One, Come All
As many of you know, I met my wife on the Yeshiva University Fencing Team (see here for more info). As surprising as it may be, I wasn't the first Palo Altan to join the YU fencing team, Jack was a predecessor. Since I was on the team, two more people with ties to Palo Alto have joined, both this year - David (now hailing from Israel) and Leora (still from Palo Alto).
The reason I bring this all up, is because my college roommate's sister IMed the following story to me (edited):
I'm captain of the foil squad this year, and this girl was talking to me about fencing and that she knows this guy who met his wife on the team. I was like, "I know him." David, you guys are famous. Anyway, it turns out she's from your town, Palo Alto. She's trying out for the team, her name is Leora. She says she knows you.
