Hello! I saw your article on the DIY photo frame. I've been thinking about doing something simmilar with a 'spare' laptop that I have lying around, but of course I haven't actually gotten around to it. I thought you might like to check this out though, it's my own website where I build my own diy projects, it's photo oriented, but I think you might think it's neat. www.digihack.net
Thanks for all the info and resources! I bought an A95 in April 2005. I have taken about 12000 photos on it and the camera had been used in almost all environments. While it has been treated carefully, it has been heavily used and without error until a month ago. At that point the camera ran out of battery power with the lens extended. Installing fresh batteries did not remedy the problem (it should have - Cannon should have designed a circuit that recognizes an extended lens and checks for zero position every time you power up). Feeling certain that the lens operates on a stepper motor I VERY carefully pushed the lens assy back into the body to reset the zero position. Until today the camera has worked fine. Today when you power it up, the lens extends then retracts and a clicking noise is heard.
I'm fairly certain that the camera needs to be reset by TV cable method (An odd fix but I won't complain). I bought extended waranty so if it turns out to be an odd fix I will follow up to let you know.
Thanks

Do you know how the internal lithium battery for the Canon A620 looks like ?
My camera is out of warranty and the internal battery does not seem to hold charge (I have to set the time everytime I replace the AA batteries).
I went fishing arond for the internal battery, but don't see anything that I can identify as one (I was hoping to see a small button cell like thing)
Any pointers would be very much appreciated.
